The Wild Animal Sanctuary-Texas currently houses 1 Lion that was rescued from an illegal or abusive situations. Following each rescue operation, our Lions provided with individualized medical and rehabilitation care. Each Lion is giving as much time as needed to adjust to their new home prior to be released into large acreage habitats - providing them with a forever home.

Odin came to TWAS-Texas from the same facility as Saber (Tiger) after spending the first few months of his life being used in cub photography sessions for profit.

Lions are the only wild cats that live in groups called prides. They are often associated with traits of cooperation, fierceness, and bravery.

One of the most wonderful ways to help our Animals is through our Adoption Program. It's also a great personalized gift for a family member or friend, showing you care in the most meaningful way...
